Residence Permit!...

Do you have to be 18 years old and over to apply for this( Residence permit ), or not? My family have an apartment in turkey and its hardly ever used and i was thinking about staying there for a year or so, but wanted to stay longer then 3months as im having a gap year off of college.
At the time i will be there, i will be 17years old.
And also, how long would it take for the proceedings to be finished, roughly 2 weeks or so?
Any help will be appreciated!

ooh, youre so lucky to be there in Turkey^ ^
i wish i can be there someday like you too ^ ^
about Residence, just my opinion, i think it's better if there's local people lives there with you,
or you should ask your family, to give you advice and permission
if you wanna know more information, just come to turkish government website

I know im young but i love turkey and figured why not move there when im young and see how things go instead of living in England and just wishing i had took the chance and seen how things work out living in Turkey. I dont intend on moving there till im 18 though. I know a lot of people i trust there and know if i had any problems they would do their best to help me.
