Öncelikle kelime anlamlarını iyi bilmek gerekiyor.
Assume: Farzetmek, varsaymak, üstlenmek Suppose: Farzetmek, varsaymak Think: Düşünmek, aklından geçirmek, ummak Expect: Beklenti içinde olmak, ummak, beklemek Şimdi bunlara göre yorum yapılacaksa, öncelikle assume ve suppose kelimelerinin aynı anlamda fakat think ve expect ise farklı anlamlarda. Expect kelimesi bir şeyi beklemek, mesela; "We expect that the economic crisis will be over soon." Burada "umuyoruz" anlamında kişinin beklentilerinden bahsediyor. Think kelimesi ise, "I think we should make a cake for his birthday" burada "sanırım, bana göre" ifadesiyle kişinin kendi düşüncesini belirtir. Ayrıca "We think you are out of work" burada ise "işte olmadığını düşünüyoruz" anlamını veriyor yani bir düşünce, duygu söyleniyor. Quote:
